Social engineering, unhealthy, unnatural and downright dangerous. You need "underpriveleged" people, in fact you need a whole mix of people, in a healthy society....equality isn't the the way of the world. Still, he will be gone soon, thank god

arrghhhh

I suppose the bit I struggle with is giving people vast amounts of child benefit, and then slipping them another £200 if they do it properly....world gone mad.

£18 a week maximum per child is hardly a luxury, John....;\)

I suppose you would like to see the reintroduction of the Poor Law and Workhouses........fits well into the tiny Thatcherite world you live in in St Helens....

if they did have social engineering then St helens would have been sold for scrap metal. In Gordons world john everybody from St helens should then be in gainful employment doing the jobs us Scousers would never do. (left open for some suggestions).

£18 is a nice little earner for The Polish Migrants that claim it for thier children back home,or it will buy 40 cigs and a few bottles of white lightning for the single mums, £18 might not be a fortune to you paul but when you add it to all the other benefits it all adds up !!
Not to forget the ones who have 10 kids making a killing.

Wasn't the csa an invention of the labour party, the one were they chased fathers already paying because it was easy and left all the sperm doners alone coz they were to thick to catch up with them.....????????

CSA invented by Tories, screwed up by "New (same old) Labour"

1998
The Labour government announced plans to simplify CSA payments, and ordered a new computer and telephone network to process cases.

2003
The CSA's new computer and telephone system was launched in April at a cost of £456m - two years late and £56m over budget. The 1.2m existing cases could not be transferred onto the new system - CS2 - because the IT "failed to work satisfactorily".

Schools, Health, CSA.....crass incompetence and not fit to govern. Still, at least we have Gay Marriage, no fox hunting and Scotland seems happy..
