Hi guys : on the subject of bite indicators more specifically
the electrics/electronic pcb's, does any one still strip them
down and internally water-proof them. Don't know if the ultra
modern units require such treatment but the older models are
worth doing. Question? what would the panel suggest as the best
water proofing method, years ago it was a carefully applied
silicon based product. But everything just about comes in an
aerosol can, I have a silicon spray will this do the trick.

All donations greatly recieved.

Oldest carper in town, well my town anyway.

regards,
mike..............

I used to coat the the PCB on my Optonic XL's with candle wax. Just melt a candle and pour it over. Job done ;\)
I suspect the cheaper, newer models may require this sort of attention, but a quality alarm should stand any weather thrown at it, or I'd throw it back at them \:\)
