I think that each time the "Ultimate bait" has come along so far it has been only for a short period of time.
First we had the Milk Proteins, then Amino Acids, Fishmeals, Feed Enhancers and Triggers, and each particular "product" has only been ultimate for so long. Every time we have had the ultimate bait it has worked or not worked on the Angler using it, or every water is different. There are some absolutely excellent Baits and bait ingredients on the Market , and in the right hands all will catch, yet due to Laziness or incorrect baiting they don't catch as expected.
No matter what Bait is used it still has to be put where the Fish are comfortable eating it, whether that is at Extreme Range or under the Rod Tip.
Correct Application will produce far more fish than a switch to the current "fashion".

Do you not think we already all have our own ultimate baits chaps, Years of confidence, application, and watercraft can turn even censored baits into winners. I think boilies are as good as they need to be tbh, used in the right way your gauranteed success anyway. I see it as the further erosion of the fundamentals of angling, bait boats, scientifically formulated baits(not even sure if thats directed at you dean), the current angling industry with its full timers seeing fish as pay checks (small at that), and lakes rimmed with carp. Its all too easy now if you want it to be.
