The lack of interest is probably down to the fact that we have just had our yearly social match. Personally i can only find time for one event of this type a year. The planning and preparation for this years 'Northern' bash took a bit of my personal time, and in the end a fair wedge of my own money i had to stump up for the couple of empty swims. We agreed to make this type of thing as a one off yearly bash, then everyone can get on with the rest of the season doing what they do. The couple of meets we have had have been eventful to say the least, Funny, Hilarious, Contoversial, P*ss taking, Dancing and Drinking with good friends and memories that will last a long time.
Getting the boys away from the big fish race for just one weekend a year and to let it all out, is what Martin and myself have tried to make these meets about. Doing it it to death, would take away the novelty of the once a year meet, and the interest would soon fade away.
Bad timing of the offer is probably the reason for the lack of interest.. any other time and we would have been up for doing anyone.
