Chaps

Decided to kit myself out with bait rolling gear to roll my own bait again, so garage is kitted out, hobart mixer on the way, LARGE gun and compressor, drying trays made up etc etc.......however when it comes to boiling large quantities of bait what is best?I've used my Burco in the past but it tended to go off the boil when large quantities of bait were introduced.I have a gas ring burner that I will be able to use with a very large metal pot......any advice on what's best?

Cheers
BB

do you know anyone that works in engineering? askin because i work in the chemical industry and we use large boilers at work, around 6ft x 4ft, made from steel with 6 large elements fitted on the sides, 3 on each side, they are also plumbed into the water mains with a ballcock type filling system,so they are permanatly refilled as the water boils off, i know its probably a bit large but maybe you could get one made maybe half the size or something? these are perfect for boiling large quantities of bait, you would probably have to incorporate some kind of mesh tray to lower and retrieve your baits from the water.

(I've used my Burco in the past but it tended to go off the boil when large quantities of bait were introduced)

Think you will find no matter how hot you get the water it will still go off the boil when cold baits added but the water will still be hot enough to start the bait cooking process.

Buy a large jam making pot and use the boiling ring which should bring the water back up to boiling prity quick
