hi all
i've read that when using csl in a bait that it's only the active kind of csl thats any good and that once the csl has been made nonactive,it's pants!
this brings me on to some q's.i can get non active csl quite cheaply(i wonder why!)and i've been told that to reactivate it,it's just a matter of adding some mollasses 36hours before use,so does anyone know:
1/does mixing mollasses to nonactive csl make it active again?
2/if it does then how much mollasses should you mix with how much csl?
3/or is non active csl no good, whatever you do to it,because it's already been jerked around with?
i've tried looking for this info else where, but came up blank,so if any one with "the knowledge" can help,it would be appreciated
thanks
jon

Van den eyne's (or how ever its spelt) CSL is 'killed' with acid
and it is unlikely that you will reactivate it.
You will only reactivate CSL, that has been deactivated by heating
with some form of yeast (as that is what the active part is,) with some more yeast. This could be present in molasses.(though it should'nt be.)
If the CSL has become dorment due to having used all it sugars then adding molasses will replemish them and aid fermentation to restart.

Mollases to re-activate csl......

Do yourself a favour and dont bother........

Just source the good gear and leave the cheap 5hite alone.....

Infact.....leave c.s.l alone fullstop...

There are far better additives out there if you know where to find them ;\)

Nutrabaits..."one of the top carp attractors ever discovered.."

Somewhat of a dichotomy ......

average intelligence is better than below average intelligence

whats wrong with csl? it's always seemed to work alright for me and surely thats all that counts!!
and how would you go about reactivating csl DEAN C? that is if you were forced into it!!

Aint got a clue fella, why go to the trouble?

Find the active stuff,do a google search and have a gander, theres bound to be a supplier out there

Is csl not a by-product of maize?......

Alot of work to TRY and reactivate the stuff me thinks
