I know that "a lot" of you english blokes have fished blues lake in the last few years. Do you have any info? I hear a lot of different rumours about dissapearing fish as a result of a bad season last year.

Quinnytj,

Are you a member of the group that fishes there in the week of the 19th of april?

The rumour about the stolen fish has started in England, that's for sure. But as always with rumours, ther's nobody to confirm it. The story was told by some guys who were there and didn't catch a fish. They had the idea that, because the bailiff isn't always there, that the fish were stolen.

My guess is that it just was a bad year on the blues lake. We will show everybody that it's only a rumour! \:\)

Thanks for clearing that, Seve!
The scene is always filled with nasy rumours. Looks like there are a lot of people with to much time on their hands... Now everybody can read that it's a load of bull.

Asure Malcolm that de Dutch party of four in may is really looking forward to spending a week on his beautyful lake!

Good news. Got some great textmessages this week from a friend who's on Blues Lake at the moment. Thirties and forties flying all over the place. No easy fish, still have to work hard for them. Can't wait to get out there in two weeks!

the lake was dead when we got there. but by thursday it had really livened up , really nice place to fish , 8 fish in total to 4 anglers upto 39 12 oz
not the easiest of waters from what we found but it was a different game on the last night really changed our mind on the place in the last 12 hours

Malcolm was a top bailiff/owner to have around the place really helpul in every way

First fifty of the season came out last week. A stunning common caught by a regular visitor from Holland. He had a great week, together with a mate. They had 10 fish (lost two) between them and the average weight was 17kg (37.5 pounds!) Check the website for details (http://www.blueslake.co.uk)

regards,
Henk
