I do a bit of fluff flinging... nice for a change now and again but unless it's on rivers I find it a bit boring. Stockies regardless of size don't float my boat. It's like shelling peas some days.

Good fun all the same but couldn't do it a lot !

As for carp on the fly..
best fly I found was the warburtons one. ;\)

done it on and off for years, just rainbows but its great fun. Done the fly tying too and the vice is handy for lots of rig related stuff.

Caught quite a few carp on Booby lures in my time, too. For the uninitiated these are pop up lures which tend to be fished static on a short hooklink and fast sink line.

Might be time to dig it out againg.

Brian, re catching carp, if they are feeding on a hatch a buzzer / emerger nymph might be best, probably black. Fish two flies, one bouyant and one six feet behind it that will sink slowly. Let them drift...yeh, two hooks, can already feel the lynch mob.. ;\)

Quite obviously not Bob.

Sincere apologies for the late reply, very difficult when you've been committed.
