does any one know how the bridgewater canal from stretford to lymm is fishing and could anyone recommend any fishing spots.

It was sh8te at dane road on Sunday mornin. Friggin rowin boats!

Suggest you try from Timper;ey boats to the Axe and Clever. Least you can have a pint at the end!

If you want a fish try the Dunham stretch turning left at the church and parking at the bridge. I've never been there and blanked! not whackers but fun all the same. My best there is 17.5 and the most in one day was 9.

Bottom fished sprats and smelts mainly, with sprats edging it. The near side margin produces as well as far side drop off (not on the shelf) from my experience.

Have u done any trolling on the canal its been good for me and my mates for the last 2 winters.This year i had over 60 pike over 20lb+ and some good perch 2lb+ since december.Going to give dead baiting a try and see if it does a good fish maybe a 30.Seems to be all aruond 5 to 10 pounders on the lures odd 20 now and then.
