New on-line Tackle Shop at the Fishingwarehouse!

Established and successful e-commerce tackle and bait supplier links up!

Established on-line tackle shop Swifty’s has linked up with www.fishingwarehouse.co.uk and the new shop will be on-line at the site by the end of May.
FW Managing Editor, Paul Selman reported, “We have not been happy with our existing tackle shop for some time, both in terms of prices and general site navigation. I am delighted that Swifty’s are joining us as their prices are extremely competitive, and I am sure visitors to our site will find it’s a massive improvement over the previous on-line shop.”
Swifty’s offer a huge range of tackle and bait in all angling disciplines, but in view of the www.fishingwarehouse.co.uk massive carp following, more carp product will start to be added from the moment the two sites link up. Swifty’s will benefit from the huge volume of daily traffic onto the FW site, which is currently holding at an average of 85,000 daily hits.

85,000 Hits per Day...thats almost one every second...seriously impressive!

My name is Ross Nursey and I run the online tackle shop. You'll be pleased to know that it's now live so feel free to take a look around.

The Physical Shop
As Paul Selman mentioned a couple of weeks back, the actual retail shop is Swifty's of Vauxhall, so if you're ever in the area (God forbid !!), and want to have a look around they are open from 9 til at least 5, 6 days a week. Tell them that you've seen the stuff on the Fishing Warehouse site and they should offer you the same prices that we've got posted on the web site.

The Online Shop
I look after both the Fishing Warehouse and Swifty's online shops. Both of the shops use the same software, so any similarity is purely intentional!!. We're using some of the most advanced shopping cart software around, no doubt originally modelled on huge sites like amazon.co.uk. There's lots of whizzy features including one that allows you, the angler, to write a review on any product that's on the site, so please don't hold back.

On the subject of prices, we're normally 20% off most major brands on all items over about a tenner EXCEPT for Fox, Drennan and a couple of the smaller "carpy" type manufacturers. They simply don't offer quantity discounts to any retailers (at least that's what they've told us), and they have been known to get seriously upset if they see shops advertising their gear at discounted prices.

Although I seem to spend half of my life posting new products to the site, I'm sure that there are loads of items of tackle that you're looking for that aren't on there. You're always welcome to drop me an email (ross@fw-fishing-tackle.co.uk) or post on the carp tackle forum and I'll be only too pleased to tell you if they have it in the shop or if they can get it and at what sort of price.

I've been fishing for about 40 years and I've been working in the computer industry for 30 years (ICL 1301 at the Milk Marketing Board if anybody remembers that far back). I'm sorry...but I'm a keen match angler , and I'm out fishing every Sunday and most Saturdays. I've promised the powers that be not to get involved in any heated discussions re putting carp in keepnets or whether small hooks are less injurious than big hooks .
