Can anyone explain why my link to the Horseshoe lake website doesnt work please.
And may I ask you to keep any explanations as simple as possible, rather like myself when it comes to P.Cs as I am hopeless on the technical side of things.

I have gone back to some old posts of mine and it is working there, now Im completely baffled.

They have some sort of redirector in there. I got to the site for a moment and was auto-redirected to www.webteknix.co.uk/horseshoe/index.html

And for some reason, I had to change the original from what you had posted (minus the fw address the bbs added to the front of it) to get a response. The new one that worked looked like yours but for some reason yours wouldn't find a site at all. Strange.

We it me I would re-do the link you have. Use the same address but enter it fresh. There may be a non-displaying control character in yours. They will occasionally creep in and while the link will look normal, it just won't work.

It works once you have removed the extra that this forum puts in.

Then after you get to the site you are redirected to Webtecnix(or something) but it is still Horseshoe lake.

Its an advert redirect, they have built the site so a bit of free adverts pops up for them.

Must have been agreed by the people who asked them to revamp the site.

There is no need to alter your link. It works ok, just that the redirect thing kicks in.
