This is just to let members who cannot log-in to the forum know we are trying to fix a bug that is locking out many of our members.

We now believe this problem is due to the programme and nothing to do with members computers, configuration or Cookies.

As soon as we have this problem fixed we will let you know here.

Please be assured that every effort is being made to rectify this. Please also note that we might have to close the forum from time to time to test and upload data.

Deep joy!

Looks like we have found the fix! Sorry about being offline for 12 hours.

It is not totally complete but we hope to have everything running correctly VERY soon. The problem was to do with just one piece of code clashing with our particular server. Once removed everyone should be able to log in OK with their existing user names.

Once we have tested and made sure all is well I will let you all know so that anyone else needing help can e.mail us.

Thats it! I think its done!!!! All existing members should now be able to log in OK and join in again.

We are really sorry for the problems but after a tremendous effort we found the bug (we think!)

If anyone still has a problem logging in please contact us and we will look at it for you.

Ahem!

The really amazing thing is that with a complete changeover in the BBS software and pulling all the existing data over here that we have had so few problems.

That effort deserves a major "Well Done" and any minor glitches are just that, minor.

Well dang it all.

I can now login as Newt and the system tells me who I am and all that.

But when I go anywhere, it changes me to Newt1.
