I was wondering if anyone fished any of the rivers in north yorkshire for carp.I've seen a big common washed up dead on the URE a couple of seasons ago and heard rumours of carp being seen rolling etc.I hav'nt had the bottle/time to give it a go but still think its worth a go.Also what about the OUSE,SWALE,NIDD,WHARFE,there must be plenty of carp in them.Anyone know any secrets?

2 years ago had a 17.06 common from the margin facing the road bridge on the black bull stretch of the swale, but i know a lot who fish matches on these rivers,(mostly other lads from work) but they never mention catching / hearing of catching carp i always go rabbiting with my lurchers along a lot of the river banks sometimes talk to locals keepers landowners but nothing mentioned much about carp but someone who i know once told me that in severe floods brokenbrae has been flooded out and carp have escaped into the swale .
