I have been mailed with a request;

"Can you tell me, is the Thames at Runnymeade open for fishing or is it off
limits for the closed season?"

Can anyone help?

Stephen,
I'm certain that it is closed until June 16th, as is all of the Thames in this area. Also the Runnymede area is a SSSI.
