Hi Boz.
You ask a very decent question there and I am pleased you did too.
99% of my catch reports are compiled from either a phone call from Gordon or an answer machine message. I could seriously do with more contact via e-mail from successful anglers at the lakes, but as you must appreciate some may not be 'on the net' and some maybe just can't be bothered or simply do not want their catch recorded. It takes all sorts at the end of the day
Gordon, as you say is a 'rep' for Nutrabaits and as such he takes details from all anglers who have caught at the lakes, but only 'remembers' those who have used trigga
This is what it is, but I personaly will stress that there are many different and varied bait which are doing the catching and I also will say the the other bait which crops up and I know is being used to devastating effect at times is essential's B5 and plum.
gordon is in no way 'pretending' that the 'only' bait which catches is Trigga, and has said to me he must start taking bait details from 'all' catchers.
I will give him a kick up the arse on this one again, as I have been mailed this question numerous times, and rightly so.
As for Mainline gear, I can only guess at it's possible success.
My advice would be to get on the going gear, whatever it may be.
There is no doubting that the weekends are busy at this time of year, but it is strange how the bookings work from week to week. To be fair, it is one of those things that just cannot be quantified. Book in advance for your weekend session. One thing Gordon is, is fair, and will never over-book the lakes.
Cheers.
