I have had some Dinsmore's screw-in banksticks for several years now, but when I needed to replace them, they seemed to have been replaced by some of the worst rubbish ever to be seen in a tackle shop. The old ones were about an inch in diameter, which helped to resist twisting, and had a useable locking screw. The new ones are much slimmer, and have a sort of cam lock device which just doesn't work at all. I've seen the Fox ones, but they seem a bit over-priced, but are also too thin. Does anyone know where I can buy one that locks solid, and is thick enough to resist twisting?

The dinsmores I bought (about 8 months ago) have screw-in locking, and are about an inch in dia. Maybe you`ll find if you shop around; you can get some of the `old` uns, but new....if that makes sense?

The ones I have are superb; and took some hefty carping/piking stick recently,
