The problem is Jack, that there are something like 100,000 carp anglers in the UK alone and probably half a million across Europe. Our carp fishing is very much different in key respects than US, and many American posts coming here
don't help that much and can confuse the issues for beginners/inexperienced carp anglers. That's why we will be setting up specific US pages where the cross-overs can take place.
We are totally committed to and supportive of our American friends and the CAG, it is just a practical approach.

Thats cool Paul, we wouldnt want to confuse any of your readers with all the American technicalities of carp fishing when they have a hard enough time learning which end of a boilie needle to use.

Good Luck

Paul, only 600,000 across Europe?
How many carpers do you think are active in US??
I think that the problem here is that many of US carpers(I am not one) are getting tried of the standoffish behaviuor of the UK anglers. I know that most US carpers have look to the UK carpers for true expert adivse and tactics, in return we can(and do) offer back a new vein of thought...........
bottom line is we are all anglers,
shouldn't that be enough?

Nice to hear from you.
On Carp Net for years you have had a section on the BBS called 'UK and European Carp Fishing' or similar.
All we'll be having is a US scene section or whatever -on the same basis to provide the same sort of focus.
That doesn't stop anyone contributing to any other section does it?
I can't quite see what you guys are going on about. The point I'm trying to make is that a newcomer, carp fishing a small overcrowded park lake in the middle of city centre Manchester England, where the biggest carp is ten pounds - and there are not many of them - might be a tad confused by however well-intentioned advice about chumming, fishing with dough balls and fishing with vertical rods etc!

Hi Paul, I never ever thought you guys got so easily confused but I see from your post worrying about us confusing your readers that it might be so. I think you can give your (and our) readers a little more credit, once you learn to tie the No Knot things just keep getting easier. I never heard anyone in the UK section of www.carp.net complain that we confused them, actually they exchanged techniques with us as our pay lakers are extremely good paste bait users and fish very highly pressured waters.
