Paul, only 600,000 across Europe? How many carpers do you think are active in US?? I think that the problem here is that many of US carpers(I am not one) are getting tried of the standoffish behaviuor of the UK anglers. I know that most US carpers have look to the UK carpers for true expert adivse and tactics, in return we can(and do) offer back a new vein of thought........... bottom line is we are all anglers, shouldn't that be enough? Nice to hear from you. On Carp Net for years you have had a section on the BBS called 'UK and European Carp Fishing' or similar. All we'll be having is a US scene section or whatever -on the same basis to provide the same sort of focus. That doesn't stop anyone contributing to any other section does it? I can't quite see what you guys are going on about. The point I'm trying to make is that a newcomer, carp fishing a small overcrowded park lake in the middle of city centre Manchester England, where the biggest carp is ten pounds - and there are not many of them - might be a tad confused by however well-intentioned advice about chumming, fishing with dough balls and fishing with vertical rods etc!
