There have been lots of debates regarding bait theories in the forum recently. Enter your best mix recipe, lets see if there is any sort of concensus.
For some time mine consisted of:
DT Impact mix
DNA Lactose
Lump Liquid
L.M.P.S.E.
Sweet Cream
Green Beast.

Unfortunately, Impact became unavailable, at least for a while and I have been unable to settle on anything since. Considering BFM..............

What happened to Dave Thorpe himself, I know he sold the bait company and that seemed to vanish, but what happened to Dave ?

I would like some information on this pink-lipped muscle extract that is supposed to be such an effective boilie ingredient. What sort of quantity is required, and how does one persuade the lady in question to co-operate in the gathering of this without offending her sensibilities. Would it be advisable to procure the services of a "professional", or might the extract then be contaminated by proteins and pheremones of an adverse nature?

I do believe Dave is dead. He packed up carp fishing some time ago. I had some good times with him - a very good angler.
There were rumours going around that he wasn't dead. KM told me he had heard he wasn't, however Chris Ball recently confirmed it to me after the publication of a Century of Carp Fishing mentioned he'd passed away.
