I am lucky enough to be the only carp angler in a 20 man syndicate that fishes a 5 acre lake in Lincolnshire. The fish aren't big (upto 20lbs) but there are plenty of them and its a good water to get a bit of action and test out baits/rigs.

As there are no other carpers on the lake there are no other baits to compete against so I mainly use mixes which I put together myself as a)it works out v cheap which means b)I can put plenty in and not break the bank.

Can you have a look at the mix below and let me have any comments which you think may improve it:

2kg Robin Red
3kg S &A meal
2kg Capelin meal
2kg white fish meal
1kg kelp meal
5kg CLO
1kg Nectarblend
2kg Calf milk
3kg Semo

Mixed with 10ml Salmon oil.1ml Protaste,4ml cranberry NF,15ml minamino.

Ingredients are bought from Quality Baits.(This mix costs £40 for 20kg).

Also can you tell where has a reliable supply of CLO - it seems v. hard to get hold of it lately.

Cheers

I don't think you've got your quantity of dry ingredients right. Kg? Re-write and re-post!
Do you mean ounces - if so this is a hell of a bait - but you can improve it.

That's just the quantities I buy the ingredients in - then mix it all together - 20kg in total.I then roll it in 1 lb (dry) batches - the additives listed are per lb.

The ratio of ingredients is still the same.

An excellent bait, mate. Well thought out.
You must be bagging up!
Perhaps we should all get on it - I bet the prices go up then!
Incidentally, aren't you the bloke who called me a ****head at Carperslodge?
So what are you doing here?
Goodbye.
