Wow! Sounds like the mere is fishing well! Thanks for the news Charlie - I've made a general announcement about news on the board so look at this. I hope you will regularly send in news about you and your friends fishing on Redesmere and elsewhere.
Sometimes I miss the mere but it is nothing like it was in my day.
Is it crowded?
Is the weed up and is it from this where the fish are coming from? The shallows?
Have the carp spawned yet? From what you say, they must have.
Thanks again, mate.

Fishing well? 44 Anglers for the start, say 25 now, 2 rods each, 9 days, 20 fish = 540 rod hrs per fish? Yes it is fishing well!
The new member who had single had 4 more from the shallows last night. The long one at 29+, a 28 and 2x20's. Nothing else out. It is very patchy.
Not very busy but you cannot get anywhere near them i.e. New Bank and shallows.
They had a little spawn in the close but not all of the fish had a go, they will do when this biblical weather stops (I'm waiting for the Locusts!).
Weed not all the way up but it will be bad. Thats the way I like it!

As a side note do you know anyone with two spare spools for SS3000. I know Daiwa do them but £41! Col cannot get them for trade either. Any suggestions?

Don't put this info in your Crap-Talk monthly article and I will quite willingly keep you updated with what's going on.

Charlie,

Paul will not be back until this pm, but I am sure he will want to reply.

Yes, we would be very interested in catch reports. Have a word with Paul.

We will be creating a seperate for catch reports that you can update live via password entry. How does that sound. .

Charlie, I only feature reports in my monthly Carp-Talk North West Diary from people who want to be featured in there.
I'll happy accept material and news from you here which will only be used here. Instructions are given in the main menu as to how to get your news to me by e-mail

Charlie,
Keep posting them on the Forum. It's always interesting to find out what's going on at the great place.
(Paul, have you seen the jokes about Kev Clifford by Carpman. He's your mate isn't he? Shouldn't you stick up for him or do you find them funny as well???)

All the best

Delkim Dave

Yes, he's a very good mate. And an outstanding all-round angler.
Kevin has a great sense of humour so won't mind.
He's usually compared to 'Olive' from On the Buses!

I don't really want catch reports on the Forum, Dave, as they will swamp the thing. These are about debate, tips, humour etc.
There will be a seperate news section for
catch reports and news that will be just as accessible.
