yeah but they are a luaghable bit of kit really, why can't people be happy just fishing the way they were intended to fish. Like dont these geezas get the astetics of carping you a peaceful lake and a battle with fish, where does a plastic remote control boat play a part. If it were up to me i would ban them all and have done with it, its only a personal view but can anyone tell me what good they do angling as a whole apart from gee up a few coots.

your saying about taking the boat 300yrds to a safe zone to catch the fish......good on them,they will catch fish for a bit but then the fish will soon see danger in that area and move out of it to other areas which in trun will make them move closer to the fishable bank and the moaners will start to catch the fish under there feet but you will not get any credit for that as the boat is a cheating way to catch fish. bit like the bite alarm is and the hair rig but all the people that moaned about them soon got onto them when there catch rate suffered.

i have seen it all before when useing my boat and the way around it is to let the guys that are moaning use your boat, thay soon change there mind trust me on that one.

I dont really have a problem with bait boats as long as they used safely, sensibly and dont annoy others fishing.
Theres a mere Ive fished in Cheshire which has basically turned into a boat water in the last 12 months ,nothing has been caught from a casted lead since October, things will change again and they come out closer in again, but until then, what do you do? - when in rome!!!
I heard also someone is hiring boats out on this place £3 a day - nice little earner if you ask me!!

A LATE COMMENT ON YOUR BAIT BOAT QUESTION.IAM CURRENTLY FISHING A WATER WERE BAIT BOATS ARE THE NORM THE LAKE IS APPROX 25 ACRES AND 250YRDS WIDE MOST BAIT GOING OUT 150 TO 200 YRDS IN OPEN WATER.WITH SOME GOOD FISH COMMING TO THIS APPROACH MY IDEA WAS TO BAIT UP CLOSE IN AND DO THE OPPOSITE TO THE NORM.RESULTS SO FAR ARE MIRROR CARP OF 29LB/17LB AND 37LB 8OZ TO MY FISHING MATE. AND I ALSO USE A BAIT BOAT FOR DISTANCE WORK BUT TO DATE HAVE HAD ON FISH USING IT ON THIS LAKE BUT FIND IT INVALUBLE FOR BAITING UP.
AS FOR USING THE TRADITIONAL APPROACH I LOOK FOWARD TO SEEING YOU ON THE BANK USING YOUR SPLIT CANE RODS AND WASHING UP BOTTLE TOPS FOR INDICATORS. SEE YA SOON WOOLF BOY.
