The Stiff Riggers are superb for what they are designed for. The line leaves the hook (if tied using knotless knot and line coming from the front (point side) of the hook) perfectly with the hook leaning over pointwards by a few degrees. They are also very strong for the wire guage and I have yet to open one out or to blunten one when pulling backover gravel or mussel beds.

The G4 is very similar to the Fox Series 1 apart from the point is a little longer. Apparently this alleviates a lot of the problems of hook pulls ( but I don't see how). Best suited to bottom baits.

The T6 is similar to the Fox Series 2 and is best used for Pop-Ups. The hook is very very strong and the inturned point helps hooking.

I use these and the Nash Gata & Demon hooks now and the others have been retired to a friends box.

He loves it when I change Terminal tackle

I have used all three models and am very impressed. All three seem very suited for their purpose. i.e. bottom baits, pop-ups and stiff rigs. However, in common with all modern, chemically sharpened hooks, they lose their point quickly - even the dreaded snotties can turn one over. Very, very annoying.....

Do you still use Drennan Super Specialists?

I've not found a better hook than the SS in a size 4.With a line aligner it it simply superb for bottom baits and pop-ups.

I'm trying out the ESP T6's at the minute but it's slow going at present.

Yes, now and again. Except when fishing for very big continental fish (cough!).

well I just started on the barbless G 4's and have found then to be quite good, I traded them in for the talontips which I was getting alot of pulls on, I have found that I was still getting pulls with the G 4's but by keeping the rod completly virtical this was mininised, ( since addapting this funny playing position i.e reducing the amount of side strain I put on the fish< I am yet to lose one touch wood)

Paul,
The T6`s are an excellant choice for pop-ups,strong long inturned point, short shank, larger gape than similar patterns.
I went over onto them this year and have had no probelms with Snakebite.
Compared to hooks that used for pop-ups in the past, namely Fox 2`s and Drennan Boilee hooks i would think these fall mid way in overall strength and weight.Still can`t beat the Drennan`s ( and Continentals) for weed and price.
Can`t say about Stiff riggers or G4`s as i don`t use them!
