Blimey....not only did I miss the date, but Paul seems to be stuck in the wrong decade:-)

With a few of the Rodney Medows fish finding there way into Harefield, its a wonder that one got left behind;-)

kind regards Jeff

Quite a few of the Farlows Italians went "misssing" around this point and also years after. The destinctive looking fish suddenly turned up at lakes who had no previous stocking of such fish. Strange how they get legs and walk.

Paul,

To be honest, It's an interesting situation. I feel really sorry for any member stuck in the current position... people seem to take the p**s as It's CEMEX but this is no fault of lake members or forum members and something we should all be aware may happen on our waters weather a company is selling up or owners going under. I can only wish all on the lakes they fish have a happy result at the end of the day.

Thing to remember is this does not only hit those fishing the lakes but also major Charity events that go far beyond forums or individuals which also have an impact on those who benifit from the "simple fishermen".

Going back to your reply. In my opinion it depends on the situation mate. I really hope things are sorted without the need to move fish. Saying that I am without doubt that if the situation did happen and historic fish were at risk then they would be moved.

On a final note - Do you remember the very first time you walked into Horton? Hope you had the same feeling as I did. smile and then came your first fish smile

Well said, Tim...the problem is with big corporations we come bottom of the list.... bash

Horton really is a special place, exciting to fish, I agree...for some, like Del and Keith its a massive part of their lives...Del has been breeding the future generation of Horton carp from eggs, what a tragedy it would be if all that effort ended up wasted.... bash
