It is a while since I posted on this forum so I thought I would take this opportunity to give an update of where we are today.
Le Moulin du Mee has now been running for 5 years and in that time we have moved from an out an out runs water to one where the average size of carp is well over 30lb and topping out in the low 60's.As the carp get wiser the fishing becomes more challenging but the rewards are so much greater so it is a pretty good trade off methinks.I like to keep our regulars up to date with happenings at Le Moulin du Mee so for the last 3 years I have been running a blog which can be found at carpdreams.wordpress.com. Take a peek !!
Our second lake, Poppy's is opening for angling this year after restocking with another 60 large carp over the winter. By no means a big fish water Poppy's is really an an out an out 'runs' water with an average stamp of fish between mid doubles and mid 20's but also running up to 45lb. At 4 acres it is perfect for a couple of lads (up to 4)and is priced very competitively so ideal for 'dads and lads' to get a feel of carping in France confident in the knowledge that there will be a regular bend in the rod.
Cheers for now, Jim.
