I've had good results adding fishmeal and calf milk replacer to groundbaits and stick mixes but they are a bit more pricey than dog food. A bit of belacan grated into the mix helps a bit too wink

How big are the Bream you are catching? I ask because bream feeding over your bait is not automatically a bad thing. Have you thought of running with the bream activity and trying alternative/bigger hook baits?

I'd certainly be using geet big rock hard donkey chokers if bream (or eels) were a major problem.

LOL in my defense there is not a lot you can do to deter 12lb bream. I did start to wade through them but several hours of catching them in monsoon conditions middle of the night and the white flag came out.

You know me Joe I catch em on my terms. If that means winding in so I can get a kip so be it. Rather be happy and blanking than miserable and catching.

It was for the best, you know as well as anybody what a grumpy fu*k I am if I am woken up. lol
