Ho Ho! It seems that the "anti carp angling" viewpoint alot of us northwich members suspected for years has finally been put in print on the forum. One comment being attributed to a committee member is "punish the carp anglers".The management in fighting is tearing the club apart it would seem. The old guard are trying to regain control from some forward thinking anglers that have been trying to push the club forward.A 40% drop in membership has been quoted, and I am not surprised given the shocking record of the club on restocking waters like the canal and river weaver that have suffered massive fish kills.Looks like some promising waters may become available if the club goes under?

Logged in last night to have my say on the northwich aa website only to find the thread "locked no further posts".Guess the club don`t want to hear a few home truths from the membership, don`t think I will rejoin the sinking ship next year.Roll on syndicate petty pool.....oops!

A shame... bash It always seems that most committees of most clubs end up in conflict and make truly ridiculous decisions... woot

One of my favourite crazy decisions was I got a letter from a certain NW club requesting I attend a disciplinary meeting for breaching publicity rules, 18 months after I had left the club and without ever wetting a single line in any of their waters. How can you deal with stupidity such as that? Eyecrazy

Did`nt go down myself due to work but I believe the old match anglers won the day by two votes. It looks like northwich aa will be digging another puddle somewhere at great expense, then wondering why the membership has dropped from 5000 to 2000.This club should start running Italian cruise ships, they`d be dab hands for sure.
