I do not know anybody fishing the water but I do know it is still very popular quite often being fully booked at the weekend.

I think it is fair to conclude that it must be producing fish if it is still busy. wink

No idea what fish survived but it is now a mix of originals and stockies. It is looking very much like the fish losses were down to old age perhaps exaggerated by the stress of being mixed with the stock fish, because the test results came back negative for known pathogens.

I am also fairly sure I am correct in saying that the water is being closely watched and if everything goes ok this year there are plans for more good quality fish to be stocked in the winter. thumbsup

Thats good news; Andy. The Mist is a historical water in NW and northern terms - there was a time when it was the only carp fishing in the Warrinton area and many carp anglers including myself in the distant past enjoyed fishing there.... thumbsup

I just hope those fishing there today respect the place and see it as a huge chunk of NW carp heritage... thumbsup
