Ted still does a bit of Float fishing, not carp fishing so much now days. He is still president of Wheelock Angling Society.
Last time I saw Pete Hanley he was living in Goostry, and fishing the canal for carp.

Sad to hear Pete Dumbill is no longer with us. A real thinking angler and I have fond memories of very pleasant evenings with him on Halsnead Park and at the old BCSG meetings held in the Railway at Lymm....

Does anyone know if Geoff Booth is still around and fishing?

Loc: Destiny, played its part and I...
Paul Mitton had a nice common last week but I think he likes the rivers more.
Pete Deane has dusted off his rods now his kids have grown up and he's doing a bit again.

Hi Bernard, nice to hear they are both still fishing....thumbsup

I can still remember the pic of Pete's big mirror from Hawkstone on the wall in Baileys shop in Woolston....I never caught the great fish sadly, though I really would have liked to......wink

Talking of old timers, Saw Barney on the Plex the other day when I was checking tickets. Still using his homemade buzzers and the original Gardner Monkey climbers, he had one whilst i was there an all ! smile
