Gents,

I am now planning my bait strategy for a 2 week session on the Lot in September and am looking for a few pointers that I am heading in the right direction with a boilee recipe. I have spent quite a bit of time researching the below, including the posts on this website, and am not looking to be spoon fed info but would be grateful for a few pointers / tips.

I have omitted any flavours and have tried to concentrate on the natural attractors in the bait. A coupe of questions:

In leaving out a high level flavour / attractor am I missing something in a bait that is going to be fished in a big river system versus a closed lake? I.e should my investigation / attractor signal be much louder in this scenario rather than the more subtle approach that, I believe, I have included below?
If I was to add a flavour what base should this be on?

Any other thoughts on the balance of the mix?

Many thanks
Tim

drop the betaine, load of crap anyway and grossly over priced, add chilly for an acidic note and lose the mollases as it makes the mix a fooker to roll due to it being so damn sticky! thumbsup

Tim,
Base is Fine, upping the belachin to 1.5 oz would be fine, as Dean says, drop the Betaine, expensive waste of money, don't bother with molasses as it adds less than b*gg*r all... if you're going to the chinese supermarket to get the belachin, take a good look around... thumbsup

Depends how you are going to use the bait will determine if a 'flavour' is appropriate, if you are going to bait heavily, don't use one, it's counter productive.. thumbsup
