Any `Regular` FW members wanting to use one of these long distance finders for mapping waters here or abroad..Then contact me and i`ll send you one to use..tho postage both ways will have to be paid by whoever requires one..saves you buying one which will pack in its usual guise...and a tenner for both ways aint too bad on the old wallet..
fits majority of boats...works off a sucker so anywhere shiny and flatish at the back will suit..waverunner with twin hopper, procat, technicat and many more!

Here is a commercial zonar that can boost a smartcast upto 100yds `without` any conversion for 15 quid ,if you require further distance fit an antenna for approx 4 quid for up and over 300yds...cool
This is for existing english frequencies That have had the conversion on the unit display itself..IE,gain antenna!

For all Smartcasts for up and over 300 yards distance boost. for approx 20 quid

I dont usually let out secrets but heres one for the smartcasts owners..cut the antenna tunnel at the top..fit a 1/4 wave 433hz antenna to the spring inside via a socket or permanantly fixed depending on your diy skills...change the batts whenever it dies...change your channel of smartcast to `b` channel and 300 yards is easy!
Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!

Just thought i`d show you my gear that i use for mapping unchartered territory, before it gets packed awqay for a few seasons thumbsup

All can be solar charged on the bank, even the handset which is fitted with nimh`s instead of the original ni-cads,flick the dial on the back of the solar panel to the correct regulated voltage and its away..
Completely self sufficient on the light..Usually,panels need sun but the latest monocrystaline panels charge well in low light levels also.
Even got adaptors to charge my 9v nimh`s in my lxrs from this panel too.
Connected a battery meter too to the battery..so can keep an eye on drain or charge rate..
Depth finder attached to the boat..which is detachable too...is also solar charged ..altho that has its own little panel too

click the pick
