I went Mid Jan, perfect session as of course

Blanked but a few bleeps and saw 4 fish in last few hours when the sun came out, from a tree on islands heading to the shallows!!

I did hemp close range literally under the rod tip, say an egg cup full every 30 mins or more, the sound and oils did get them feeding dawn one morning, swirling water and shadows but no runs

I was a member of the winter syndicate some years ago now....

If you are going this winter, take some float gear with you...floatfshed sweetcorn or worm/maggots from Greenbanks down can be productive during the day...
