I have been going on about the loss of Hyypia to footy friends because his loss was not so much on the pitch as Alonso's, but as s leader within the camp itself. I was dissapointed we did not do a little more to keep him for an extr ayear with a coaching role in addition.
Hypia was a massive calming influence on the younger players in the squad , even when he was on the bench or not in the team at all ... Sami will be back

Last season we were 2-3 players short of being a top side...now were 5 or 6 .. that’s half a team
We could go on for hours .. but the top and bottom of it is a lot of Rafa’s signings have been sh1ite.. that’s not all necessarily his fault though .. I feel his hand has been forced at times and has been poorly advised , abit like Houllier was after his heart surgery (you’ll remember it was after that when it all went to sh1t for him) when he signed the African and French boys , who were clearly not up the job ...
