Northwich Anglers have reported the capture of a 40lb plus carp from Budworth...anyone know if this is a definite capture?

That rumour did the rounds last year Paul, totaly untrue Im afraid, chinese whisper after chinese whisper. It does not hold the carp that you would expect an underfished (underfished for good reason) cheshire mere of that size to hold. Very difficult restricted fishing for 20's amongst thousands of bream. The big fish rumours that have surrounded the place for years have never been backed up with a reliable nod from trusted angler or a single picture.

Thanks Hotshot, that's what I thought. I know there are very few carp in Budworth - I think any stockings have been unofficial -and as you say countless snotties....

Remember when they put out they'd been a 40lb common out of the Weaver from under the blue bridge at Hartford .... some of you fell for it ...

I never did and said so at the time and was challenged by no less than Chris Yates...it was 28lb.....

ps ask are group leader why he is in marley part of budworth will be angling on there myself at some point make-in sure norwich and marley anglers are not on the warrington stretch

Hate to pee on the parade but Warrington "share" a section of bank with Northwich, that puts you in an awkward position being banned from NAA and all that. And our group leader threw his marbury ticket (not marley) several years ago along with a number of other carpers.

How cool is that, using a mirror make a 30lb pike look like a 37lb carp, I once caught carp and took its photo, will look at it in the mirror to see if it has grown teeth.

Save it Joe, everywhere you go you bring trouble, the number of ban's you have had is proof of that. You have no one to blame but yourself. You have also had an unhealthy abnormal obsession with me since the day we fell out, get over it !
