Hi all i am getting a lot of time on my hands of late so i thought i would start up me old rftn well its been a hard year on conningbrook this year only manger-in one fish a small common well say small it is compared to some of the fish in the pond i used Sticky baits ready made Beast bait to catch this fish i chosed this bait due to the fact that it was right
for the brook it has no fishmeal in-it so it would slow the pike down and its not bright for the pike to find also a good fellow group member and close freind has been use-in it on a local pond and he took the lake apart

i have now stoped travel-in to kent and i have now started a campain on MOORE QUARRY which will take me through the winter try-in to catch a new northwest 40plus
i have been bait-in moore little but often with a combie of two baits STICKY BAITS Beast SX ready mades the has been going in since mid september and i start to fish morre this week and landed this lovely 24lb mirror proper stunner hope to keep intouch each week to let you all know how my campian for a winter northwest 40plus luv to hear from you all take care and keep catch-in

well that fish from moore quarry is a stunner think i forgot to mention that i lost a fish before i caught that 24lb mirror
so i was on 12 48hrs sessions one fish and one lost

so i was down for my 13th 48hr and o my god i could not beleave the conditions i had proper low pressure and big south winds also i had the place to myself so a quick mooch round and swim was picked.

Then at 3am i had a good double i took a few pics on the mat as it was rain-in proper heavy! so put the fish back and then just as i settled the recast the other rod was away.

Two takes in half hour of each other was i on moore this just does not happen! it was another low double so with being soaked through i unhooked it in the water and went back to sleep

first light come so i re chucked the both rods and then at 1030am it was off again now i know i had been blessed buy the carp gods getting two fish in one session on moore but a 3rd fish well lets say words cannot be spoken about this next fish
I will let you put your comments about this fish my jaw droped it reily does please me to see fish like this! that is only 18mins away from me! i probly caught this stamp of fish 10 years ago at 10lb and to see it hit 23lb 6oz lovely stuff well that was sesion 13 not so unlucky hope to keep it come-in each week until next week be lucky

Well done, Joe, another fish from a not so easy water..wink

You're starting to look a bit worn mate - all that travelling to Kent must be doing it. I know, I've done it, got the T-shirt.... A tip - join Horton instead. Top facilities, set of good blokes on there now from South and North and a load of 40's/30's to go at, and getting bigger....wink

after catch-in that awesome fish i was right up for it so i was keeping the bait going in every two days or twice a week sticking to my sticky baits combie with quarter of a kg on two spots!
i got down for my 14th trip and went for the same spots i started to worry a bit as i had stoped hearing any fish topping in the night on my 1st night but on my second night i got a steady drop back

i fook-in hate drop backs they fook my head big time! so i went in on it and could not beleave it!
it was a carp happy fook-in days !that aint no bream! It put up a proper fight as well it was a lovely bar of gold in proper good shape
I had a recast then it was away again another drop back i went in on it and there was nothink there head was battered so i txt andyjack in the morning told him the score he informed me nnahh m8 straight up those bream in there have small mouths your right its a bream now which is what i thought as it was not like the last drop back it droped back a bit to quick anyway hears the 24lb 80z common for you hope to keep the roll going ps lads come on any you lot been DO-IN-IT in the beautiful NW

OK Joe... thumbsup

Decided not to send you a PM, I was originally asking if you could tell me the names of 3 scousers who visited one of my lakes recently...

They booked late, turned up at the house here with cash, fished the lake having a good week with over 40 good carp between them... but left the facilities in an appalling dirty state, but also tried to break into a mobile home before they left, leaving it damaged, and then burgled my bailiffs equipment caravan...wink

As for fish welfare = zero... upset my bailiff was constantly having to watch and intervene due to their poor treatment of the fish...

In the last few years virtually every party from Liverpool we have had that I didn't know personally behaved in an appalling fashion leaving everthing trashed behind them.. upset

So in future I will only take bookings from scousers that I personally know will treat my fish and property with respect...wink

ouch sorry to hear that paul about your lake fishing is not seen in the same light in liverpool! carp fishing is just starting to hit l/pool so alot that take it up are new to angling.Like everthink theres bad in most things !

Not all scousers are bad its just those that are proper fook it up for everyone!
I have always fished on my own due to the stigmear that comes with being scouse if am mob handed with scousers people do get put off.

I think we just live life to the full and with us being from a city are ways are just seen as outrageous i think with a lot of scousers they give you what your think-in as we are always the accused anyway lets stick to the carpfishing in the northwest its not realy the place to be talking about bad anglers fising in france

Probably not even scoucers Mr Selman. More likely they are from poor neighbourhoods within the vicinity who decide that it is trendy (God knows why) to adopt a scouse accent and act ignorant and aggressive to anyone else. Your actions of being catious of people with this invented accent of voice are quite correct.

Another alternative is to suppply a questionnaire about general fishing!! .... the results of this could govern your acceptance or rejection of potential holidayers/scumbags

Sorry, they were 100% scousers... bash 80% of scouse parties I've allowed over the last nine years have left my place trashed, left litter everywhere, nothing cleaned and the odd dead fish... upset

I believe Gordon Fowler had the same problem at Three Lakes....problem solved when he banned scousers and anyone pretending to be scouse...wink

Don't think I'm anti-scouse, some of my best friends hail from Liverpool such as Youngy etc....wink

Anyway back to the angling i had kept the bait going in and this has had a bit of a knock on effect due to me not remebering that tuff ducks start hitting our lakes in november
i could not beleave my eyes for my 15th session there was over 45 birds dive-in on my spots eeerr wild life you got to luv it
so i had a big blank which is not a problem as that is why we call it fishing if we catch every time it would be called catching!

now i had to be cute hear i did not want my sticky baits make birds fat so i started to but bait else where and leave-in the spots with no bait!
but the thing is other people where also starting to bait my spots haha dont you just luv sheep bbbrrr

so i went down on my 16th session with a big open mind walking around the lake from 1am in the morning looking for carp and guess what i seen this fish roll in the margin just left of the swim by a overhanging tree wup wup one rod cast 10 mins in water happy days its a quick self take theres more of the mat than the fish but hay those ventre unhooking mats are the best matt i have ever used

Paul

I must apologise for the decent scousers that fish.

Unfortunatley fella a lot of young Scallies/gangsters and drug dealing types have got into the Carp fishing game, don't know why that is, some of the Tackle shops in the area are doing a roaring trade with lade coming in the shop with a wad of money and just buying a whole carp fishing outfit, not cheap stuff either.

So mutch money mate they need to spend it.

Hopefully it wont last, or at least they will all be stuck in jail.

Seen it myself

Tony, I have my regular Liverpool anglers that come with me every year, and those that have been with me before who were no problem...these are always welcome to fish my lakes at the original price they paid indefinitely....wink

However, we have had nothing but grief with MOST parties from Liverpool..they leave the accommodation filthy, leave litter in every swim and abuse the fish which is the worst of all as I can do nothing about that...wink

So unless I personally know the party, or have they been before without any problem, in future I will not accept any bookings from any unknown party from Liverpool unless they can give provide me with credible references I know from the carp world...wink

As a point of interest, the last Scouse party to trash my place/burgle/abuse my fish included an asian-moslem looking scouse carp angler - after he had caught some good fish too...mad

The party had the temerity to ask my bailiff if they could come back next year, after trashing the place and for a day session leaving one angler in charge of nine rods on two separate lakes whilst they went to find a bank thirty miles away.... upset upset

Moslem. New religon to me unless you are being cute to internet search engines with spelling whistle

As for references I can give you two.

Kipper the Cat - Will catch a few, sleep alot and may occasionally be enjoying afternoon beers in the hot sun. Uncanny (jammy) ability of catching a bigun amongst pasties. A good reference overall.

Tont the Rat man - Excellent food source for your lakes inhabitants, top quality ingredients guarenteed. Unlikely to wet a mat regularly, but will have the odd bigun. For further references ask Patrice formerly of La Horre....or maybe not

Reference for the Oyster Fella

Like a big old Carp and would definatly be most peoples PB, he very rarely gets caught though, but is seen quite often feeding/drinking in peoples swims without taking the one with the hook, he will wipe you out of bait/food/beer then move of to the next swim and do the same. If you can get him on your mat you will be unlikley to lift him for the photos.
