If one wants to fish a secluded pond, pool, lake or resevoir without company of much one should buy and ordance sureay map in the area and explore. It is this exploration that can lead to total annoyance or total satisfaction.

I have a very good book which is titled "Away from the Sodding Crowd". It is not an angling book, but it gives an illustration of what one can do when bored and does not want to go to..... lets say Alton Towers or even the Blackpools.

A day spent driving around in your car with the missus visiting new pubs and new areas may reveal a new water or two and these waters may be particularly useful as they are away from the 'sodding crowd' and of great interest to you.
