I have been notified that a certain FW member was dropping a bait ont the heads of spawning carp which in my eyes is not good anf if I had of been present the angler would have been removed from the lake with his ticket withdrawn. The person in question had done quite well on there this year and to be honest I am a little miffed by these actions. For two to three days of the year the fish should be left to do their thing as it is important to the future of our sport and pleasure. You know who you are and I will be saying something to you when I see you....Please remember I am still the baliff on there and will revoke any tickets for what I see as fishing at all costs...You have been warned.

Hi Ken,

Yeah There are quite a few singles coming through. I took a 7lb common 3 year ago and have seen small mirrors when they have been spawning in the past. I wish I had of caught him myself cos I would have had a go at him for this act of selfishness.(no pun intended)

nice to hear about the little`ns jay..good news!!! infact crackin news m8!!!..this lack of respect aint so good tho, seems theres a lot of it about these days..sign of the times, little do they know that the little`ns come about thru em not trying to poache these carp at their most vulnerable and exhausting period..they must have that rest inbetween to re-couperate..keep up the good work m8..hope common decency wins the day for you lot down there!!!

Then why not introduce a closed season on there ? if its open for fishing, then its open for fishing.Take it up with the controlling club and sort it, don't blame the angler !! he's probably not the first to do it & won't be the last.
As for the stock coming through, i thought it was more a case of what else has been nicked and put in there these days, people never learn do they even if it means endangering all the original fish.

so what yer saying is the place is being stocked with nicked fish and those little`ns are`nt natural to the lake???

..trouble with close seasons.carp generally dont spawn inbetween those dates..so respect is needed..simple!!!catching a big exhausted fish could kill it!!!

The stockies are a little bigger than little uns mate.I know what your saying about the dates as well, but the only way to eliminate whats happening is to stop fishing altogether.Im sure the water could be closed on a temporary basis when it can be seen the carp are getting ready to spawn.Respect is a little thin on the ground these days ,i don't think you need me to tell you that.So relying on people to act in a responsible way is maybe asking too much.

too true about the respect, i agree..
thought there was enuff decent chaps to enforce the respect title back on there and to shun those that cant help themselves in their weak moments, that way the respect will be passed down to the young`ns..its the only way to go..but shutting the place is whats needed if that fails.shame tho!!!

Sorry missing, but you are totally wrong and the angler involved is a long established angler and should know better. Do I have to remind people of the incident when two fish were put in the same sack(Angry and the Linear) and the big girl shed over 2lb of spawn. There is going to be a change on the Marina as there are lots of people fishing without a permit and dodging paying the massive £20 for catching a possible Lancs record fish.
