I have always believed that there are at least half a dozen managers who would have won the league with the players available, the real special ones have to build and develop...Fergusson did, Benitez is, Moyes, Big Sam, ONeil....its time, and knowing what your doing, with the backing over several seasons building and maturing a squad, team, infrastructure, culture etc

I hope the Chelsea fans enjoy looking back on their golden era....two years woth of programmes should be easy enough to collect..

i hope mark hughes dosen`t and hasn`t done a big sam move ,foook me!!! they aint half cheeky foookers at city...sven did bob on for em and the fans were pi55ed off with the sackin,if i were mark hughes i`d have give em both the swerve..n foookem all..bowt time someone showed these instant investers it takes skill and longterm quality management to win cups in the prem..like you need to be told john!!!

The 'special one' will be taking a few of his favourites over to Italy this summer .. who ever takes over the rent boys will basically have to start again and spend many many millions of rubles ..

Just goes to show that even an ex red can see the potential at Man City, I think old Frank Sinatra has played a blinder he recognised the fact that when things weren’t going Sven’s way he didn’t have the skills required to motivate the team so he had to go simple!! Even though he is taking stick for sacking Sven in my opinion he had no choice how could you let the guy keep on spending when he couldn’t get the most out of the players he had already bought, Mark Hughes is a top acquisition, he knows the league, he knows the club, and most importantly what the fans want.

Apparentley just before Sven left Sinawatra asked him how far he thought City were from being a Premiership and Champions League winning team. Sven said about 5 miles!

Hughes will be sacked by the end of next season. City are a mid table club at best, hence Hughes going there instead of Scolari..
