The Manchester Carp Night is on ;\) \:\)

Same venue as before at the Cresta Court Hotel in Altringham.
Sunday 20th January 2008, 2pm till late.

Frank Warwick will be doing his first ever North West talk and Jamie Clossick will also be doing his first talk.

There will also be trade stands etc, if you are interested in a stand on the day please let Roger Bacon or Jamie Clossick know asap as space is limited.

It will be a great night as the previous ones were and ALL PROFITS WILL BE GOING TO CHARITY as before \:\)

More details to follow soon.

Cheers

Are you sure about that?

Could have sworn he did a talk for the Middleton Carp group years ago.

Happy to support the event, turn up and donate raffle prizes, pay for a stand, speak/talk if wanted etc.

When is the exact date of the event? ;\)

I can also sort out my college Prom on the same night!

Good to see it back. Well in Rog and Jaime.
No doubt be as good as the other two.

The rumours that Hello! and ok magasine are covering the event have got the chesh lot in a frenzy trying to decide what to wear.

The only reason you are not going Beakster is because Jim isn't

Cheshire boys will have the 'Royal Suite' to themselves, so they don't have to mix. Cheshire speaker i believe will be Mud on how to blank on Farmwood with a good excuse.. The 'Fox' label on Muds t shirt isn't a sponsor deal from the tackle barons, it is just a cheap advertising ploy for he's Electrical firm

Awesome..... I feel some more Manchester V's Cheshire banta on the way. It's been boring on here since the Drayton Grudge Match that seems so long ago now. Come on Tudge, you thought of a venue for this years winter extravaganza ? ?
Will be good to catch up at the event and spread the fun and laughter.

Hi Lads and lasses,
We are now in a position to give an itinery for the night. There will be other stuff to add but as it stands this is the story so far:

Open 2pm til 10pm Sunday 20th January at the Cresta Court Hotel, Altrincham
Entrance is £7 on the door

Speakers:

Jamie Clossick 4pm

Mark Holmes 5.30pm

Dave Moore 6.45pm

Frank Warwick 8pm (2 spots)

There will be two stands where you can ask advice from proven Carp Catchers under the titles of 'Kipper Corner' (big fish advice) and 'The Bait and Rig Clinic' (self explanatory)

People in attendence for these include:

Jon Mcallister
Darrell Peck
Iain Macmillan
Gaz Fareham
Ali Hamidi
Mark Watson
Alex Perrin
Pete Broughton
Leon Bartropp and more...

The North West Cup and Echo Cup will be presented to this years winners on the night.

Confirmed Trade Stands Include:

Erics Angling Centre
Korda
BCSG
Venture Tackle, Angling International Holidays
Tag Carp Tours
Advanced Carp Fishing
Ultimate Carp Nutrition

Mega Raffle will be truly mega once again and prizes already include;
2 French Fishing Holidays
Viper Icon Baitboat
Pair Of Rods
We are leaving it until after Christmas to blag most of the prizes but the raffle will be huge!

The official capacity is just over 500 across 2 rooms and we are are hoping for a turnover of people during the day as we don't expect anyone to stay for 8 hours but be warned, THIS WILL SELL OUT!

There is space available for a couple more trade stands and if there is anybody out there who can help in anyway, be it by providing raffle prizes or a trade stand then please get in touch.

As ever ALL the profits are going to Charidee with Roger and I never having taken even our personal expenses for the previous shows. (yes I even paid for my own hotel rooms on the night!)
This is because the charities are near to our own hearts personally and this year the money is being split between Pendlebury Childrens Hospital, Francis House Hospice and the LDN Research Trust (MS)
Virtual everybody involved is giving up their time and efforts for free so please support us in anyway you can.

It's looking like being bigger than ever this year and in the organising of it both Terry hearn and Gary Bayes have already confirmed for next year so it looks like we will have to do another!!

Look forward to seeing you all on the day.

Jamie

I will donate midweek session for two lucky carpers on Deadmans for the raffle.
The more prizes for the raffle the more money that we make to which will all be going to the named charities. So come on all you fishing related companies, i am sure they are some things you can donate for such a good cause.
If you don't ask, you don't get!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry that we are not doing tickets for this event lads, its just that we never had time to get them printed up and it also cuts out the problem of us having to count people in on the day.
I am sure that if you arrive between 2 and 4pm you will not have any problem getting in,
so see you all there...Rog

Just got home from driving around local tackle shops picking up all the donations that have kindly been given to me for the raffle, i personally would like to say a big thank you, i was expecting the odd unhooking mat or cheap set of carp rods, but have been given rucksacks, carp rods, quivers, bedchair covers and the list goes on. Thats not including all the donations that we will receive on the day.
Pete from Trafford Angling
Mark from Bolton Aquatics
The lads at Trevs
Mark and Paul from Swinton Angling
Thanks to you lads, this is going to be a mega raffle.
See you all there Rog

A credit to jamie and Roger, must have taken one hell of a lot of organising. Well done to both of you, had a great time, wish I could have got there earlier to see Jamie's talk, sadly not but got there in the end. Top bash

Top event, all for a very good cause as well.
A big well done to everyone involved and looking forward to the next.
First time i had seen Mark holmes doing a talk. Very intresting indeed and also some of the stuf Dave Moore mentioned.
Jamie's talk was very good but cut short which was a shame as there was a few more lumps to be seen.
EDIT Frank seemed to get right into in once he got started.
DONT ASK

Anyone know who the numpty was who everyone started shouting at during Franks talk? LMAO

Big well done to Jamie and Roger.. quality event spent in the company of many old friends and a few new ones.
Great to meet Pete and Dean from Ultimate Carp Nutrition in person.. Saul you did a grand job fella.
Good laughs, good talks and the raffle was funny as f*ck
The Salford boys at the back livened up the place up with the jeers, boos! laughter and general p*ss taking of everyone who won a prize
A lot of lads delved deep into their pockets for one of the top prizes Credit to you boys.
Shows the camaraderie between the North West boys is Massive and long may it continue.

Paul, Was with Sandy in the pub over the road first, when we got in the meeting he said loads of people were coming over to him and shaking his hand (probably their fists!!) he didnt recognise any of 'em, well funny!!
Then he got well paranoid cause i think someone give him some stress over the redes debarcle, then he did one. He lasted a full five minutes! Duke found him on warby bridge, spotting fish!
