I believe linear has lost a lot of its fish due to the floods 30lb carp found dead in peoples gardens and in bushes also lost in the river system and its had to shut for a few months so they can evaluate what stock they have left loosing 30k a week.there are some mint fish in there and it would be a proper disaster if they lost them

Its a real shame wot has happened at linear i hear they are in a real mess, lets see if they put some of the money they have fleesed off carp anglers back into the venue and sort it out, feel more sorry for the fish its always upsetting seeing quality fish perish and its useually the big uns that fall prey to these conditions, its a lesson to be learnt maybe there should be some attempts made to stop this happening again ie cant do anything about the weather but maybe some kind of flood defences to prevent the fish escaping the complex and the lakes they reside in ????

Was down on the linear site just after the flooding to give a hand.i can tell you no linear carp were found dead in fields/gardens/ or any other land mass. linear know that they have lost some fish that is why they will be investing some of the money that was put by for such a problem back in to the fishery.there has been 4 30s out of the manor since the flood and i personally have seen the big plated at least 1 common over 35lb and the star burst.we also saw a good head of carp on the surface. go to the linear web site and get the up dates. those that took the risk seem to be getting the rewards those fish were not fed for 2 weeks must have been starving.

can tell you that cut tail and any other carp from st johns or the manor did not get in to the river as the lakes didnt get high enough for the fish to move these 2 lakes will have some mixing but the fish are still on the complex
