UBB code? I thought they already had it. Or did they have the demo version.

I might even get around to putting some on my messages sometime. . . but then again life is too short.

By the way, how did you know they were doing it ?

Because he was chatting to me via ICQ

The upgrade from the Freeware version to the Full version didn't go sweetly and for some reason the backup wouldn't reinstall.

Should be back tomorrow hopefully

Does this mean the carperslodge gang are going to rest here a while until the new SUPER FORUM is being debugged?

Will I have to put up with any abusive stuff and ban people?

Or is there going to be some sensible and interesting posts while I work away. . .

to the1englishman

Opps! It was just a joke. . .

I have been in contact with the lodge for most of the day off and on. I even emailed them the moment the first post hit, which he replied to and let me know what was going on.

its all very sorted now!

Stephen was joking the1Englishman.
The problem was caused between us by one nasty piece of work who had nothing to do with Carperslodge but claimed to.
If you had seen what he had written to me you would have been equally as upset and instructed legal proceeedings
for libel and defamatory imputations against Carperslodge as I was about to with my legal representatives until the lads there proved their sincerity.
There is no problem between us now or in the future, But a little light-hearted ribbing is fine and should be taken in good spirit.
OK?

Does that mean we can make references to Warrington and Wallets ?
Why is that anyway - you get some awful stick in the tabloid section of Carp World Paul.

It doesn't bother me at all. People can say what they like about me as long as it is in good spirit. It is not meant to be taken seriously...the people who write the stuff about me are friends.
Also, any publicity is good publicity as someone once said..

Paul,
I have just read your article in June's Carpworld about Hooks and found it very interesting. Will you be writing more regularly in the future?
Please say Yes!!!

On the topic of Carpers Lodge, when it finally returns after its upgrade problems, I really would recommend a visit to the forums. There's a thread there about Carp mouthing baits which is one of the best I've ever seen.

Unfortunately all the posts and registrations were lost upon the upgrade of the UBB due to the server backing up during the upload which in turn caused all the grief

I hate CGI at the best of times!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BTW it is now working but I am waiting for Steve to redo the link as it has changed. Don't forget to re-register.
