This is what it says on the Mid Kent Fisheries website "Mid Kent Fisheries would like to confirm that Mr Michael (Mick) Perry is no longer associated with us.
He will have no involvement in any of our activities both now and in the future."

most if not all carp angling celebs are two bob nobodies-case proven i think..
Alot of them love the limelight and love to prance around in it.
Met a few this year who know jack-sh1t about fishing compared to the drivel they write - although they initailly come across friendly - a little too friendly sometimes.... One of them is a 'guide' to a lake in a European country who was asking me about swims in my 4 weeks experience on the lake - and most of them come from the same 'stable'.
I am sure this theiving chap has read these posts and has true regrets for what he did. If you read this then at least give it all back to make yourself feel a little better inside.

He sounds like a "A love me loud mouth look at me i can suck carp d1ck wannabe - I will do anything to get may mug in a mag [censored]" - unless someone can correct me. Seen em all and they are just that. If you are a young angler reading this then please just fish for yourself and share it with your mates only. Its getting far too public now our hobbie. Dont get big headed. While i am on a rant - I always reckoned your face looked shifty Mick - you ignorant stupid theiving fool. How dare you do that to sick children. You simlpy thought you where cleverer, I know - I know you are thick. Disgusting.

here is a post from the MKF forum by Chris Logdson about the course of events - Quote:
Guys firstly let me say a thank you for being patient over this issue, I will now tell you exactly the chain of events which led to me sussing out Mr Perry and subsequent events. There have been a lot of rumours on this issue so hopefully this will quash those rumours as these are the facts, but it is still under police investigation therefore I hope you will not do or say anything that might obstruct that investigation.
As you know over the last two weekends of May we hosted fish with the chaps charity events organised by Mr Perry. All monies paid by the bidders were paid directly to him and he decided that the two charities that were to benefit from the events would be The MacMillan Nurses and the Rainbow Trust. I had not heard of the Rainbow Trust at this time but he explained it helped terminally ill children and their families to have respite care, therefore I thought it was a very worthwhile cause.
Throughout the two events large ammounts of money were also raised by raffles and donations plus the sale of all drinks, all of which was in cash. Mr Perry was in charge of all funds.
A week after the events Lin and I went on holiday and returned the last week of June. I rang Mr Perry and asked what was the final ammount raised and when would we have the presentations of the cheques. He told me that £7000 had been raised and that he had already paid the Rainbow Trust, I was a little disappointed as I thought there would be an official photo presentation. He said that all they had done was send him a receipt and no letter of thank you which I thought was strange at the time because charities thrive on publicity, but I took him at his word, he just said oh we will never help them again and really ran the charity down. I then said what about the McMillion Nurses and he said he would get on the case. Another week went by with no word so I rang again to see what was happening, he got a bit irate and said he would get it organised for the next week. MacMillan came down to Chilham and we presented the cheque which he brought down for £3,500. I asked Helen from the MacMillan what she knew about the Rainbow Trust and she explained what they did and why was I asking, I explained that all they had done was send a receipt for the £3,500 without even a letter of thanks. She thought this was very unusal as all charities need publicity, Mr Perry was standing beside me and was saying yeh we will never use them again and really running the charity down which was very embarrassing.
Later that week he sent me a text saying that he had rung the Rainbow Trust and they had apologised for not sending a letter and that he now had a letter of thanks. This I thought was the least they could do. On the following Monday Keith my assistant Manager came back from holiday and said that he had £250 which he had raised from sponsorship and what should he do with it, I said I expect Mick Perry would want him to send it directly to the Rainbow trust and that I would ring him to find out. When I rang him he told me that he knew that Keith had raised about £250 so he had paid it himself and that he would come down later in the week to pick it up. He was also going to pocket that as well!!!.
Lin then saw that Mr Perry had put it on our website about the money raised and the two charities involved. Our company then wanted to put it in our in house magazine, so I tried to ring Perry to ask him to send and email of the photo shoot with MacMillan and a copy of the thankyou letter from Rainbow Trust. He would not answer his phone so I rang him at home and his wife answered, I expained the above and she said their computer was broken and could not send anything, we now know this was also a lie because she had been emailing other people that day. I thought ok I would ring MacMillan and ask Helen for her copies which she gladly did and she also asked how we had got on with Rainbow and I told her we now had a letter of thankyou, and she said well at least thats something. I then thought well if they had sent a letter they must have a copy so we looked up their address and phone number on the web and I rang them.
I started by sounding quite annoyed as I thought they had been very poor in their response. I spoke to the head of fund raising and explained who I was and that i would like a copy of the letter sent to Mr Perry thanking us for raising £3,500, she said she was sorry but had no idea what i was talking about. I kept repeating about the money Mr Perry had sent in June and she said she had received no donations for that ammount over the past few months. My head was just spinning and felt physically sick. She realised from my voice that I was upset and told me she would make some investigations with her head of accounts and she would phone me back within a couple of hours. I cannot explain how sick I felt I just sat there in a daze not wanting to believe what I had heard - I was actually in tears. She rang back and confirmed my worst fears and I immediately tried to ring Mr Perry but no answer so I texted him and said please ring me urgently, I made no mention of the money. He texted me back immediately and said you have obvisly sussed me out yes I have spent the money got out of control please can I rely on your discretion. I cannot repeat what I said back to him he is the lowest form of slime that inhabits the earth. I immediately rang the companies he worked for and they then informed all the papers. I then called the police and made statements to them and gave them copies of all the texts he had sent admitting what he had done. At no time has he shown any remorse all he has been concerned about is his own well being. There is no excuse for what he has done, to steal from terminally ill children is bad enough but also from all his mates - there is nothing lower. I am 100% sure he had no intention of ever paying this money although now he says he is trying to pay it back, but that is only because he has been found out and the police are on his case, the bloke is a scum bag.
What we are asking now is that anybody who either took part in the two events or just came down for a social please, please come forward and let us know how much you donated, bid or spent on raffles etc so that we can find out just how much was raised - it could turn out to be more then he says.
I am so sorry that this has happened - it really is bad for angling - I have never felt so low about anything, but hopefully he will pay for what he has done. I would lik to say a big thanks to Fox International, Mainline and Total Carp for donating the money to the charity concerned so that they are not out of pocket and the kids don't suffer, a big big thankyou to everybody concerned.
Well that's how it is as of now, I will keep you all informed, if ever you see this scum bag on any lake or in any angling shop we need to know about it please.

The bloke nicked a large amount of money that was destined for a charity and was (this time?) caught. He hasnt killed anyone, he hasnt sexually assulted children and he isnt the head of the Waffen SS. Wether its through sheer remorse or wether its because he`s lost ALL his credibility, celebrity status, fishing income and been deserted by his sponsers, he will be feeling as low as anybody could want. He now faces a future being branded as a thief and being treated as a leper by those who he relied on the most, added to that he will probably be undergoing a criminal investigation by the police. So lets not ALL jump on the "He Should BE Crucified" bandwagon, his punishment - I am sure - will far outway his crime, people sometimes make mistakes ( all be it some bigger than others). Also a big thumbs up to the Sponsers who apparently stumped up the shortfall through their own pockets.

Here's my thoughts, what he did was wrong, very wrong and for that he will regret it for the rest of his life, he will lose friends and credibility and so he should, he won't be able to show his head around any of the popular fisheries again...ever.
He will also be prosecuted and will face trial with a possible jail sentence.
My feelings are to him, that he should repay the money to the kids and if he can't then he should dedicate sufficient time working for the charity until it can be regarded as "Paid Off"
Once that is done, then he has repaid his debt to society and everyone should call the dogs off.
I've made mistakes in life, some very big ones that I am ashamed of now, but society gave me more than one chance, and everyone deserves that providing no one was killed, maimed or injured.

Jail No chance. Any decent brief will say, so exactly were in the contract was the date agreed to pay over the money.....and its then the whole shoddy house of cards will tumble. Handing over sackfuls of readies without documentation is asking for it, which doesnt justify it. My money is on him walking, totally. Oh, and I have made mistakes, and as carp anglers come from all walks of life, chances are we number a few robbers, muggers, burglars, rapists and murderers amongst us. We just dont know. I believe they are described as "colourfull"....
He has delayed 3.5 k going were it was going. Nicked it ? Prove it then

John there is a charge called Obtaining a Pecuniary Advantage by Deception... He could also be charged with simple theft or Obtaining Property (money) by Deception... That is precisely what he has done, it does not require a written contract or documentation... He raised 3.5k in charitable donation from unsuspecting sponsors and then pocketed the money for himself... The original bank notes have been taken and he has treated them as his own to dispose of, that is all that is legally required. Even if others stump up the cash to replace it that is legally irrelevant, it is the original banknotes or cheques which were obtained by deception and disposed of: that is what concerns the law. So for example if an employee takes £5 from a till, and puts in a note saying IOU £5, then replaces the £5 he has taken the following day with a different £5 note, he is still guilty and liable for a theft charge under English law - because the original physical note has been taken... The CPS is interested in two things: 1. Can we get a conviction? On the evidence I would say yes. 2. Is it in the public interest to prosecute? Definitely, Yes.

A typical spineless and hypicritcal post from you Pete , in my books this is a hanging offence this money was raised for terminally ill kids , a chance to enjoy what life they have left !!!!
....i think the same!!! so do a lot on here, were not spinless we just think people make mistakes in life,it`s called experience you see!!! not everybody`s perfect all of the time, things happen in life for worse and for better, you`d be foolish to say your not capable of worse, you never know what`s round the corner, thats life!!!
You are spineless!!! Mistake??????? Oh yeah that was it, the money had been MISTAKENLY stolen, he didnt mean to do it , it was an accident. WHAT A BAG O'SH1TE,Mick Perry has shown himself up for the dirty , little essex mug that he always was and always will be. How some of you w@nkers can come on here talking about mistakes and forgiveness is beyond me, unless you are all dirty, little essex mugs into nicking money out of your pals pockets that was intended to ease the last days of dying children.....................TO EACH HIS OWN!

Not a timber, i like the idea of the kids benefiting 3 fold , but i feel that the sliding into obscurity bit is not a fit enough punishment, even if he would be 10 grand lighter I hope this will clarify the situation Brett............spot on mucker

I think a few of the Fox/Mainline boys (one in particular!!) might be at the front of the queue. The amount of carpers in this country..... its only a matter of time unitl he bumps into one (s fist) wheter it be by a lake or outside Tescos. Only a matter of time......
And saying its like nicking for a raffle....... thats like saying a drug dealer getting shot is the same as someone killing a granny for her pension. Even criminals have morals - well most do anyway, and the sick few get what they deserve inside.

Nice one Harry, seems to me there are getting more people on here who would rather put in the hours behind a computer screen where it's nice and warm and dry than behind the rods.

I've actualy become more and more fed up with having to share bank space with all the instant, lets throw a fortune at the tackle shop, tackle tart type idiot's that turn up every week. you know the ones all the gear no idea and when they've cast across you/ baited up over you and generaly been a pain in the arse start to spout on about "Oh you must have heard of me, i'm on such and such a site. I'm always posting loads because i know everything". It's knob's like this and the over commercialism of carp angling in general that made me jack it in. It just ain't the same game i used to enjoy 20 years ago when you didn't have to type complete bollox on sites like this to inflate your own ego's. I think this will be my last rant on here so feel free to take the sap at will.

Thanks for the empathy NOTaTIMBER. And as for your post Lanc (doesn't that rhyme with something?) i take it you are trying to imply i was some sort of tackle tart. i'll bet your list of current tackle blows mine out of the water, no pun intended. And Oyster for your info there's no reason for me to be worried about been under the thumb seeing as how my wife has been diagnosed with something a bit worse than i'd wish on my worst enemy. You never know i may pick the rods up again in the future but i hope to god that the instant, glory hunting, arse hole element's still not in the next swim.

I don't really see why i should have to "clear things up" but here we go. It was a nicknane i picked up when i first started work and it's just stuck. I'm only 5 foot 6 tall and all the other lads i worked with were over 6 foot. Is that a good enough reason for you?

Hello Missin, if you read this thread properly, which you havent, then you will see me castigating mr Perry at every opportunity! my post was in reply to someone who seemed to think that it may have all been a mistake,. Why do you not read a bit more before you post and then you will not come across as such an absolute w@nker. (If you cared to put your name in your profile instead of being a faceless prick, then i could also address you by name!) [censored] northern [censored]!
