It's no use keeping a diary unless it's updated, so here goes.
Erm, blank?
Tues, 24 oct , H/136 4hrs, 1 carp, 18+ ,where are they?

Thurs. 26 oct, H 100 8pm to 6am, 1 carp, 23.06 common.

Sat 28 oct, arrived about 8 am, spoke to leg-end, he said it was grim, blankety-blank time.
Fished 6 hours on 100, blanked, went to 135, the angler there arrived before dawn and had only caught 1 carp and a bream.
Drove back, pulled up by m-b swim, a carp crashed, 2 rods in within 5 minutes, resulting in a 3 hour blank, saw 2 more fish crashing.

Tues, 31 oct, weather forcast was down to 2 degrees last night, but I hab a cowd in by doze and didn't want to get sweaty in my home bed.....any excuse.

Only 4 other anglers on the lake, and nothing had been caught since Sunday. Set up on H 107, 1 rod cast in the near margin, 1 halfway across, and the 3'rd ready to be cast out to the far lily pads at midnight, when 3 rods are allowed..yeah,right.

I had a terrible night's sleep, my mind was racing, I have the feeling that I didn't sleep at all. Nice and warm in the bag, but chuffin' cold when out of the bivvy for a pee.
Was wide awake at 5.00 am, as a kind owl twiiiiiiiiiiiitted into the tree behind me, just blowing my nose and noticed the lh alarm lighting, and the bobbin dropping back, typical bream bite I thought, but no, it was a common of 21.12 . Easy to unhook, but it was ravelled up with 4lb line around it's head, complete with a size 14 hook and a grain of fake pop-up corn. Not hair rigged, the hook was pshed into the corn, burying the point. Dipstick angler.

ABOUT 10YARDS OF LINE WAS GATHERED IN, WITH A SWIMFEEDER ON THE END, THAT MANY BEADS I STILL HAVEN'T FIGURED IT OUT YET.

That's probably it now for these between work overnighters, it's getting a tad cold, it's always dark, and the fish just ain't 'avvin it.
....but next week looks good weatherwise, as long as it doesn't rain, as I can't see the point in potentially blanking and getting wet.
ps, Remember "one-carp Cottis"? well, I seem to struggle to catch more than 1 lately.
