Diary update:
Fri pm/ Sat am. 11/12 Aug.
Once again, Friday night saw me on the Cheshire weedy water. Very hard to believe, but I had the whole lake to myself, the only other angler was on the small lake next door.
I went over to him for a chat, he happenened to be playing a fish at the time, but unfortunately lost it just before netting it.
He had no more action.

So, rods in by 9pm (no rush) and my first fish of the night was a tench of about 1.5b lbs. Followed at 11pm by another of a similar size. Now there's a novelty.
1 am saw me playing a mirrpr carp of 24.02 , no more action until 7am which produced a symmo of 21.06 ......not 31.06,sorry AJM, typo.

Monday night, 8pm to 6 am, 1 small common, not weighed...6lbs?
Wednesday night, back again, , it poured down as soon as I started walking to my swim , soaked, and blanked, home by midnight.
Thurs night, went along just for a chat with Dave/Allen, Hi guys!
A nice evening, should have had a rod with me.

Friday,18/08/2006
Back again, first 2 swims were taken, I had the 3'rd available swim.
1'st run about 4 am produced a 19+ common, 1'st fish from this swim, so well pleased, except that it crossed another line and I was playing in both lines, leads etc.
1 more run at 8am which unfortunately snapped my hooklink, just behind the hook (15lb merlin), a rare problem.Wound in then as I had to go visiting down south.
From what I gathered, 2 big bream were caught from the 1'st swim.

I'll be glad when I've had enough of fishing this lake.

That swim produced a 16+ common at 6am this morning as I was packing up.
Wasn't me though, I fished the corner swim and had a 11.04 common at 1am.
It's no fun trying to put waders on when playing a fish.
My mate Lec say's he has a recipe for commons.

Diary:
Another one bites the dust.
Common of about 12lbs, and not 100 yards from me someone had a 24lb+ using the same type of bait.

Saw 4 shooting stars, but nothing unexplainable.
