maybe see you there mate as me and angling buddy are heading to the rather deep day ticket water and if it dont look good we heading that way for a blan...er an over nighter!

Back on the weedy water (big lake, Dave ) straight after work , fished from 7.15 to 10.30.
Caught 1 fish, a common again, I've forgotten what mirrors look like.
It put up a ballistic fight, this fish was a new personal record from the lake.


Sorry, but the water level has dropped by at least 6", and the weed is showing more.
Packed out, 3 cars in the car park, including mine. All audi/vw

Tench fishing this morning on the big Bad lake.
Had a few, lost count after 6, maybe 8, up to 7.03lbs.
Good fighters on a float rod.

4lbs, bagging up?

Went after work tonight, fish showing all over.....just on the far side of the weed beds.
I don't fish floaters,(for reasons which may embarrass me ) especially when a hooked fish would have to be landed through 40+ yards of weed.

Neddless to say, fishing in some clear spots, I blanked.
However.......I do feel that Tuesday night may well be too hot to sleep in bed.



PS. SAW A BUZZARD, A KESTREL HOVERING OVER ME, TWO GREEN WOODPECKERS, AND 3 MINK, OR 1 MINK 3 TIMES, OR MAYBE 2 MINK..... AND HEARD THE BADGERS FIGHTING IN THE WOODS BY THE DUNNY.
I FEEL A BADGER WATCH COMING ON.

So, as I thought, far too hot to sleep in bed last night.

4 runs, two landed, 13.08 and 23.06.
Kamasan MAXX hooks are ok for single baits, but for some reason they open out when using a snowman rig. Back to the ashimas then.

Think I'll give it a miss tonight, but...........
