I think that is the case mate. the fish all tight together. But i still think that too much disturbance may be pushing them out. Out of the four i had 3 came away from the spot on the run... the 4th and last stayed there kicking the silt and sh1t up off the bottom right over where i had taken all the fish.

This present weather is absolutely crazy. As Thursday night was wind and rain free, (and actually stayed above 9c all night) I decided to do an I'm fishing in the dark tonight overnighter on my favourite Shropshire water.
I walked the bank for a fair while in different swims looking for the slightest ripple to indicate a fish....no joy, but I did hear a bream crashing twice, so set up in the B swim. Needless to say, true to form ,I blanked.
Meanwhile, the Shropshire farmer was in the comfy swim and had a bream, a tench, and a 23+ common. I said he was good.

So on to today.
FOG, FOG and MORE FOG. I'ts still foggy now.
A sh*te day's angling, although I had my chances.
First run within an hour from tight to the reedbeds in about 2ft of water, played it for a minute then the line snapped. We're talking of 16lb pro-clear here that breaks at about 19lbs.
dropped one from my other rod whilst re-tackling, and then had a reel churner on my float rod, it didn't stay on too long with my 2lb hooklength.
Gutted in triplicate.

NODDY! \:D

I just couldn't believe the number of dickheads driving their cars this evening with either just sidelights or no lights at all. Visibility was less than 100 yards to the car in front, if it had rear fog lights on, otherwise about 50 yards.
Plonkers.

RAINMAN, please don't tell anyone that I caught from whatever swim.
I arrived at the p*** this morning for a pre-decorating quicky to find only one car in the car park. \:\)
Unfortunately,Dave what'sisname was in the swim I wanted.
I fished 2 to the left, and blanked, what with the wind and the rain and the hailstones and the biting monkeys. N'hea!
Ho-hum, see you next Saturday, and don't forget the comics.

If memory serves me correctly, you arrived later than me last week.
What's more, I even got there before Leg-end once, and only once mind. \:\/

Chuck em in the margins after dark, you know it makes sense. ;\)

ps. your your risers certainly are excellent leads, not lost one yet, and landed 4 fish from 4 runs using them last Saturday.

It's been a strange year so far. Several fish caught, but all but 1 from the same lake.
January was quite good, but February was a waste of effort.

Anyway, last night, just for a change, I fished overnight (10 hours) on a lake I have not night fished for about 8 years, although I do fish it most Saturdays.
I know where the fish come from in daylight, but am not sure where they are at night. As it turned out, my first 2 fish came from the daylight swims,ie; very close to the far bank, and the others came from as near as I dared cast them in the dark.
A terrible night, I hardly had any sleep, landed 6 doubles, 1 single, pulled out of 2, and caught an ide, must have been at least 6oz.

Far too hectic, only used 2 rods after my fourth fish. ;\)

The P*** easy lake.
