I did a year in Lymm a three years ago, fished Shakerley and no probs or worries sleeping. Lymm vale the baliffs are a bit strict, but didnt stop me kipping. Belmont i fished when it was really cold in winter, easy runs water, again no probs.

Yep...always has always will be mate...hence I refer to the place as a shIthole...wannabes paradise mate...jockeying for swims....leave em to it..
Da Beak
No mate. In fact over the last few summers I have turned up on several Saturday evenings and had the lake to myself to all intents and purposes.
Many old regulars have moved on, and its a nice peacful lake in my experience. Not easy, but a zig rig on the shallows sorts em in the warm weather

I am a Lymm member. I guarantee you nobody will bother if you sleep by your rods.
Lymm AC in general tries to offer something for everyone. For the carp angler there are a few options:
Shakerley - also avail on day ticket - big doubles and twenties. Classic country park-type water like Sale/Chorlton/Clifton.
Belmont - easy, busy, small runs water, doubles, odd 20.
Lymmvale - doubles, odd 20 but lots of tench to wade through
Tabley Moat - Some serious fish(rumoured 40 recently), gorgeous water, restricted bankspace
The club also offers some barbel fishing (Dane and Severn) and general "maggot drowning".
The club is certainly not "anti-carp angler", but it is anti "carp squaddie". If you leave litter, make too much noise, get pissed on the bank or generally behave like the modern day carp yob, you will be out - and good riddance!
In my opinion the club does need new carp and barbel waters to reflect the modern fishing scene.
