A friend of mine told me that the current record carp, Mary was nicked from a lake called Rayners at 28lb and put into Wraysbury. If thgis is true? How can it be considered the record carp if it has not spent a good part of its life in the water and was nicked/stocked at quite a big weight!!

How long before an illegal alien from, for example, a Shropshire, Northants or Bedfordshire water steals the crown. That will be a sad day - almost as sad as the anglers who fish for foreign carp in British waters.
