Hi guys long time no see, busy at work these days and spend most time just reading the posts these days.

Now that's the pleasantries out the way, I'm posting today after placing an order with the online tackle shop (Swifty's) I've used them before and intend to do so again however.

Does anyone have any dissatisfaction they wish to share with me and other users regarding the way they are currently being run and their lack of customer service?

My order had a couple of faults within it and I've sent e-mails to them via a reply to the order update e-mail they sent me, the contact us section on the site and also directly to Ross as advised by Stephen Lane's sticky on the main forum page (as individually neither of them could be bothered to reply ).

I've sent two e-mails to each of the above addresses with 11 days in between, I added to the last ones that I'd reluctantly be posting a thread on here if I still recieved no reply.... Guess what, still no reply

So, I just wondered if any you guys had this type of experience with them, All my previous contacts with them have gone smoothly, but then I've never had any reason to get in touch with them before.

The latest order I placed had a leaking bag of betaine and one of the spools of hooklength material was the wrong type. I offered to buy another and keep this one if they waived the p&p which I thought was fair on my part but apparently not as far as Swifty's are concerned.

Thanks for the reply Beak, Nice Avitar

I'm stunned that no one has responded from Swifty's yet .

Are they still the online shop connected with this site ?

Does anyone work there and access the forums or read the 'contact us' section on their own site ?

Surely they'd like to clear this up, although it's looking less like an accedent every day they don't reply .

They've chosen not to respond after having 3 weeks to reply to any of the 6 e-mails sent to 3 different contact addresses and then not posting on the forum shows total lack of customer care or respect , think I'll have to review my first post where I stated I'd use them again .

I wonder if any of the guys on Fishingmagic.com, or BFW use them, think I'll post this on there as well, see if a pattern emerges.

There's been quite a few people viewed this thread but not left any posts, so either they've never used Swifty's of they've just never had any issues with their customer services................ almost manged to say that without laughing

Well, I finaly spoke to someone from Swiftys (Maggie). She appologised and said there's a problem with her E-mail account and was going to have someone look at it.

Although that doesn't account for the other two contact addresses (including the one in Stephens' sticky, Ross whoever he is).

Well, Maggie was very nice and said she's going to sort out the issues with my order, so I'll wait and see what happens now.

Ok, so now the problem I had has been resolved , although I'm still P***ed off that they didn't and still haven't replied to either the E-mails to their 'Contact Us' section on THEIR OWN web store, as well as ross@fw-fishing-tackle.co.uk not bothering his arse to reply and even sending an e-mail direct to the company as a reply to their own e-mail sent to me was ignored . If anyone has an issue with their order from Swiftys' I would suggest a phone call or you'll be in for a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong wait. I need

Although 135 people viewed this thread and only 1 person posted, doesn't anyone else use them? I can't believe I'm the only person who couldn't get in touch with them.

Thanks for the input W.k. and D.D.

I have used them a couple of times in the past too (their betaine is a good deal), and like you everything was fine but the problem I had was that their customer service (online version) and other contact details (even those provided on here) don't provide any customer service. I've still not had any reply to all those e-mails even just to appologise for the inconvenience.

I'd love to comment or slag them off but i've never used them so it would be wrong for me to do so.
But at least i've replied to your post even though it was a waste of our time.

JUSS175,
errr, my thread was a waste of our time or your post was?

I'm not looking for people to slag them off, just honest replies from their customers. They are meant to be the online shop with connections to this site, that's the only reason I ever used them in the first place. I wanted to show support for any sponsors or supporters to the site I'm a long term member of.

My thread was to find out if anyone had a problem with their customer service (similar to mine or other wise), I've stated above their delivery and prices were sufficient for me to use them several times but I'd never had to contact them. However, after recieving the wrong item in the order I feel I had every right to try to gain some communication from them (I still haven't heard from any the e-mails I sent, not even a "sorry for the inconvenience") and this thread was meant to see if this was a common factor with their customer services.

Thanks for contributing to the thread.

I meant my post. But i thought i would reply coz you seemed to being getting a complex over nobody giving any input or comments. Maybe the people who did reply are the only ones who have used Swifts. Although i may use them soon coz i'm after a new chair so if i do i'll add a more constructive post to this thread.

Thanks Justin,
No complex here I was just under the impression that as they (Swifty's) are the shopping partner for the site (and have been for quite some time) that some of the regulars may have used there service in the past.

As I said in an earlier post, I used them to support the site and as the prices are good.

You could be right though and perhaps not many members from here use them, or perhaps all the members that do use them have no issues with the items they order. I've used them a few times and only on the last occassion was there any need to try to contact them.

Frustration lead to this thread, not a desire to abuse or insult the store or the quality of goods offered nor the service provided, however they DO need to rethink the online customer support part of the site and perhaps increase the amount of checks to e-mail accounts (although none were bounced back so I don't think the accounts were full).

Anyhoo my issue is now resolved, thanks again for taking the time to read and respond to the thread (especially as you had no first hand experience of Swifty's). Hope you have no reason to get back in touch with whoever you decide to buy the new chair from.

Tight Lines.
