What was the point of this whole thread?

The point was,to find if anyone had heard of a 38lber in a local lake.(I have now found out it's newly dug,and will probably be a small water).
At Barthomley Nr. Crewe.
However......no one has answered that, and you know how it is,things just get out of hand.

...blimey, I just turned Radio 1 on and DLT, the hairy tomato, was introducing Suzi Quattros Devilgate Drive. If I dig out my tank top it could be 1976 again....

Looks like the rumours were true check out page 6 of this weeks carp talk.
Not a fish that most would have published, especially given the fact that the photo clearly shows that the captor has nearly managed to smash half its tail off.
Feck me even if it was some bizarre unavoidable accident you hang your head in shame, you don’t publish photos where the whole world can see that you have maimed a previously mint fish.

Some do Andy as can be seen. Its this 'at all costs' mentality that is endemic in uk society today. I have not seen the fish but if the angler IS responsible for the damage to the fish then bad angling. Rule one of our sport - respect the quarry.
