Rod Pods on Soft Banks?

I wonder what the reaction will be to this? Am I alone in thinking it strange to use a pod when the banks where you are fishing are soft enough for simply two bank sticks pushed into the ground? I also prefer to not use a pod, in fact I cannot remember having to use one for two or three years. Steve

pods are horrible things, i really dont get on with them, the people who use them are people who were caught up in the fashion craze for pods, and spent a fortune and now only use them to get thier moneys worth,(you know who you are) stainless is not only sexy, its sturdy, especialy in goal post form, provided you spalsh out a pound on a rubber mallet they will go almost anywhere. i use my pod as an impliment whilst fishing less than desirable areas, and that is the most usefull thing i have found to do with it, lofty,

Well i would be lost without my pod,i personaly hate banksticks, orrible wobble things stuck all over the swim, bite indication can be just as sensitive using a pod, you just need to use your common sense. i can see no bennifits of using banksticks over a pod, and i often fish locked up tight at many distances, so there is no prob there..
